Pitti Immagine Filati – February 2022

The 90th edition of the Pitti Filati international trade fair was held from 2 to 4 February 2022 in Florence, in which we participated in the “fashion at work” field as manufacturers of machinery specifically dedicated to this sector: machinery for fancy yarns.

Pitti Filati is the world’s leading trade fair for the yarn and knitwear industry. The best Spring/Summer 2023 items by 80 exhibiting companies, which are part of the collections designed by major Italian and international spinning mills, were showcased at the Stazione Leopolda, a former railway station in Florence.

This was the second edition, following the one in June 2021, held at the Stazione Leopolda, an industrial archaeology site in the heart of Florence, which has served as a venue for exhibitions and special events for a few years now.

For this edition, Pitti Reflections is the editorial theme of the Pitti Immagine exhibitions: an invitation to look beyond and further, the mirror as a symbol of duality, of recognising ourselves, our own identity and that of others, a contradictory element that reflects reality, but which is also a form of deception, illusion, distortion and vanity.

In the research area of the trade fair, the theme and title of the upcoming Spring/Summer 2023 trends is Dual. Dual is somewhat like a mirror, which evokes a doubling effect, and develops and expands the idea behind Reflections: duality as an endless interaction between form and matter.
